A short exercise for rebuilding connection without making arousal, intercourse, or completion the goal.

  1. Step 1

    Set the boundary first

    Agree on a short amount of time and name what is and is not included before starting.

  2. Step 2

    Use a stoplight check-in

    Green means continue, yellow means slow down or adjust, and red means stop. No explanation is required in the moment.

  3. Step 3

    Debrief without scoring

    Each person can name one thing that felt safe or connecting and one thing to change next time.

Stop immediately if either person feels pressured, unsafe, painful, or emotionally overwhelmed.
